Job Overview
Well established Grande Prairie law firm looking for a lawyer with 2 or more years experience to join our legal team practicing in the areas of corporate, commercial and real estate. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in client communication, drafting, and negotiation. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, able to work independently as well as collaboratively, and committed to providing exceptional legal services to our clients.
Duties
Draft and review legal documents, including contracts and agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
Negotiate on behalf of clients, advocating for their best interests while maintaining professional integrity.
Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on various matters, ensuring they are informed of their rights and options.
Maintain organized files and documentation for all client matters.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in Alberta.
Strong research skills.
Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting.
Comfortable negotiating corporate and commercial transactions.
Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Agricultural background an asset.
