Laundry Attendant

Please Note: The hours for this position are from 11am-7pm.

Job Summary: Prepares, cleans, and delivers hotel linens in accordance with established standards to assure guest satisfaction.

Job Duties:

To sort, pre-treat, wash, dry, press, fold, and deliver hotel linens to departments as needed.
To wash and fold an average of 12 loads per shift.
To ensure washers and dryers operate properly, and informs management or maintenance of any malfunctions or problems.
To maintain linen cart and supplies in a neat and organized manner.
To respond to requests from guests and hotel staff in a timely and efficient manner.
To make sure that the laundry area is kept clean, organized and is well maintained.
To provide basic information on facilities.
To handle and report lost and found items.
To maintain friendly, cheerful, and courteous manners at all times.
To perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent education is preferred.
Experience in laundry will be considered an asset.
Basic knowledge of general laundry cleaning principles, use of laundry products, and operation of standard laundry equipment.
Ability to lift, stoops, push, or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of times.
Ability to lift bundles of linen weighing up to 75 lbs.
Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
Have good customer service skills to acknowledge and greet all guests.
Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks during busy, sometime stressful times.
Must maintain a high level of professionalism.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $17.25-$17.50 per hour
