Labourers - Park Gardens Maintenance

AWX Mackay is seeking highly motivated, reliable labourers to work with our Key Client in the Parks Open Spaces program, undertaking basic gardening, landscape improvements and general maintenance.

Labourers Parks/Gardens - 4 x Vacancies

These roles will be working roughly 38 hours per week, Monday - Friday. You may be required to work outside of rostered hours including weekends and be able to travel locally where camp and accommodation will be provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Maintain and inspect footpaths, gardens, playgrounds and equipment
• Clean, maintain, and repair damaged parks and gardens
• Operation of various plant and machinery such as power tools, tractors, mowers, chainsaws, mulchers, brush cutters, chippers
• Spraying pesticides where required
• Working safely in accordance with WHS obligations.

REQUIREMENTS:
• MUST be able to complete a pre-employment medical with Drug/Alcohol screen
• Experience operating hand tools, small plant and equipment
• Experience in the use of herbicides and pesticides
• White Card
• Own transport and current Car Licence essential
• MR Licence highly desirable
• Physically fit and able to work extended hours in the heat
• Ability to Identify and report hazards.
