Position Overview

The Lab Technician will operate in our Ryley lab, focusing on product testing for QA/QC, compatibility, and other humic tests. They will assist in setting up the lab with future growth in mind, ensuring efficient and scalable operations. This role supports operations, QA/QC, and RD efforts, requiring a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Lab Setup:
• Assist in the installation and organization of lab equipment.
• Ensure the lab is prepared for testing and research activities.
• Product Testing:
• Conduct QA/QC tests to ensure product quality and compliance.
• Perform compatibility and other product related tests.
• Work with various product types to make sure products stay within spec
• Data Management:
• Record and analyze test data, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
• Report findings to senior researchers and recommend improvements.
• Lab Maintenance and Safety:
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces.
• Equipment Management:
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on lab equipment.
• Ensure adequate supply levels and notify the supervisor of needs.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with diverse teams to ensure smooth operations and alignment with business objectives.

Required Qualifications
• Successful completion of a two-year diploma in a Technology Program with major emphasis on chemical and/or environmental analysis from a recognized Technical Institute; or
• Successful completion of a Bachelor of Science from a recognized University
• Experience in laboratory testing, particularly in QA/QC processes.
• Class 5 Driver's license
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with humic substances and related testing methodologies.
• Experience in product compatibility testing.
• Agricultural knowledge
