Responsibilities
The Medical Technologist implements the hospitals primary mission, goals, and objectives by exemplifying the short and long term vision, values, and goals of the department by providing professional clinical laboratory science services in the all clinical areas of the department
These duties may include but are not all inclusive such things as clinical testing, proficiency testing, quality control, professional consultation, instrument maintenance and validation, testing validation, testing management and all associated functions toward the attainment of these processes
Assist the Lab Manager in the daily operation in any and or all of the Laboratory areas, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology, Serology, Toxicology, Urinalysis, Transfusion Medicine, Molecular Diagnostics, and Phlebotomy as assigned

Responsibilities
Monitor inventory levels and schedule work orders using the ERP system
Create work orders, transfer materials, and decrement from the system using the ERP system
Change and dispense materials for production as necessary
Participate in customer and regulatory audits such as OSHA and EPA audits
Maintain accurate and detailed product, process, instrument, and training records
Follow current processes for manufacturing, storage, and transportation of chemicals
Handle regulated waste and gather, interpret, and analyze scale readouts
Troubleshoot issues with quality and delivery as they arise
Create materials to internal specifications in a timely manner and deliver throughout the organization
Adhere to current waste disposal (RCRA) and hazardous material DOT regulations
Follow hazardous material spill response protocols and participate in receiving, downloading, and uploading from tanker trucks into bulk tanks
Participate in the Hazardous Material Spill Response Team
Train in other chemistry instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, etc
Maintaining an inclusive environment through persistent self-reflection
