Job Description

Toronto seeks a passionate Lab Technician for its Pathology and Cytology sections. In this role, you will prioritize and manage surgical specimens while preparing tissue cassettes for Pathologists’ Assistants. Additionally, support Technologists with reagent changes and maintain lab equipment. Your experience in pathology practices will be vital to your success. Key Responsibilities:
• Organize surgical pathology and cytology specimens
• Assist PA's with tissue cassettes and supplies
• Load slides onto staining and cover slipper platforms
• Manage orderly accessioning and grossing areas
• Recycle solvents and assist in waste disposal Requirements:
• Completion of Laboratory Technician Program
• OSMT or CSMLS certification is a plus
• At least 1 year of relevant lab experience
• Knowledge of specimen processing and preparation
