Job Description
• Designation: L3 Engineer – R&S NCE
• Experience: 10+ Years
• Relevant Experience: 8+ Years
• Background: Candidates should have experience in a Service Provider (SP) environment
• Qualification: Graduate / Postgraduate
• Location: Gurgaon
• Budget: Up to 25 LPA
• Joining: Immediate Joiner / Candidates available within 15 days
Role & Responsibilities
• Act as the technical face to the customer, delivering high-quality network solutions and services.
• Handle complex technical issues, escalations, implementation, and migration activities.
• Work closely with Customer Support Engineers, TAC/HTTS, SEs, SDMs, partners, and internal Cisco teams.
• Manage customer expectations and build strong customer relationships.
• Handle multiple customer engagements involving network implementation and migration, remotely or onsite.
• Take ownership of project implementation, migration, and change activities.
• Prepare and review HLD, LLD, design recommendations, implementation plans, and change management plans.
• Build or use test environments to troubleshoot complex problems and compatibility issues.
• Support optimization, strategy, and deployment of Cisco network solutions.
• Share technical knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned with the broader team.
Technical Expertise – Routing & Switching
• Strong understanding of IP/TCP networking, routing, switching, and security concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst 9K family is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Cisco Catalyst 2K, 3K, 4K, and 6K platforms.
• Strong knowledge of IGP, OSPF, BGP, STP, RSTP, VTP, VSS, MSTP, LACP, and VLAN.
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VPC, Multicast, STP, RSTP, MSTP, NAT, PBR, and HSRP.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as Cisco SDA/DNAC is preferred.
Desired Skills
• Strong hands-on experience in installation, configuration, commissioning, migration, and troubleshooting of network equipment.
• In-depth experience with Cisco Catalyst 9K installation, commissioning, and configuration – Mandatory.
• Strong understanding of Cisco switching platforms.
• Experience in upgrading network equipment and firmware.
• Ability to identify and replace faulty network hardware components.
• Experience in reporting network, configuration, and project status to key stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a challenging customer-facing environment.
