Job Description
This position is about 32 hours a week with a mostly set schedule of Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 11:30A-8:00P and Saturdays from 8:30A-5:00P with opportunity for more hours.
Kumon West Portal is located in San Francisco, CA 94127. We are fast-paced, collaborative and rewarding.

General Responsibilities:
Customer Reception & Communication — Greet customers, answer inquiries, manage incoming phone calls, and respond to emails with professionalism and clarity.
Message Relay & Parent Concerns — Communicate parent questions, concerns, and updates to the Instructor or Assistant Instructor promptly and accurately.
Data Entry & Assignment Preparation — Perform data entry, maintain organized records, and prepare student folders for enrollment, testing, and daily assignments for ongoing progress tracking.
Marketing & Retention Support — Assist with center initiatives such as student awards, goal‑setting events, flyers, promotions, and other retention‑focused activities.
Customer Service Assistance — Support families by addressing routine questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Payment Processing — Process tuition and fee payments accurately in accordance with center financial procedures.
Inventory Management — Monitor, organize, and restock worksheets, instructional materials, and general supplies.
Administrative Support — Complete miscellaneous administrative tasks including filing, printing, organizing documents, and supporting daily operational workflows.
Student Check‑In & Safety Monitoring — Manage student check‑in procedures, monitor student movement, and ensure safe and authorized pick‑up practices.
Center Maintenance — Maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming environment by supporting daily upkeep of the reception area and common spaces.
Placement Testing Coordination — Schedule and prepare student placement tests, manage testing materials, and ensure smooth testing procedures.
Parent Orientation Delivery — Conduct parent orientation sessions that clearly explain program structure, expectations, policies, and center procedures.
Qualifications:
Strong verbal communication skills, intermediate written communication skills preferred
Proficient math skills a plus
Proficient in basic computer usage
Customer service minded individual
Detailed Oriented and multitasker
Can work in a fast pace environment

High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
