About Us
We are an expanding Japanese dining group operating multiple restaurants and cafés across Sydney. We are opening a new sushi train restaurant in St Leonards, offering high-quality sushi, efficient service, and a modern dining experience.
We are looking for experienced kitchen staff with a background in sushi train operations to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing ingredients and ensuring all mise en place is completed
Assembling sushi plates for the sushi train with accuracy and speed
Maintaining consistency in portion sizes and presentation
Assisting sushi chefs during busy service
Following food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Cleaning and organising the kitchen area
Communicating effectively with the team to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
Previous experience working in a sushi train restaurant (必須 / Required)
Understanding of sushi preparation, rice handling, and portion control
Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Reliability and a positive attitude
Weekend availability is highly preferred
Valid working rights in Australia (WHV, student, PR, citizen)
