Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment. This role is essential in supporting our chefs and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant or hospitality establishment.

Responsibilities
• Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and measuring ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Support chefs in cooking tasks as needed, ensuring all food is prepared to high standards.
• Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting shortages to the kitchen manager.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in maintaining the overall hygiene of the kitchen area, including cleaning surfaces and floors.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service times.

Experience
• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for culinary arts is highly valued.
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is advantageous.
• A background in hospitality or culinary studies would be beneficial but not mandatory.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn from experienced cooks and chefs.
