Kitchen Helper Volunteer

The Calgary Drop-In Centre welcomes adults at risk of or experiencing homelessness. We provide access to a spectrum of care that supports each person’s transition to the most independent living possible—including emergency shelter, programs and services, and affordable and supported housing. Our kitchen staff need support preparing meals, sandwiches and snacks. Cutting vegetables, making sandwiches, plating food and washing up are areas that an extra set of hands will make all the difference in supporting the hundreds of people we feed at each meal. This is a low commitment volunteer opportunity, shifts are on-going, and you pick them up as they fit your schedule! Please be aware this is an unpaid volunteer position. Requirements : Must be 18 years of older to participate independently, 16+ can participate with an adult chaperone. Perks : Choose your own schedule! There are no hour requirements or commitments.
