Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Kitchen Helper / Cashier to join our team. This role involves supporting food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and providing excellent customer service at the cashier station. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, experience in food handling, and a positive attitude to create a welcoming environment for our customers.
Duties
Assist in food preparation and meal assembly, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
Support kitchen staff with basic cooking tasks and food handling procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitizing surfaces and equipment
Operate the cash register efficiently, handle transactions accurately, and provide friendly service to customers
Serve customers at the counter, take orders, and answer questions about menu items
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper storage of ingredients
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Assist with cleaning duties in both the kitchen and dining areas to uphold hygiene standards
Requirements
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
Ability to serve customers professionally with excellent communication skills
Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation are advantageous
Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or evenings if required
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in the food industry
Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
