Kitchen Hands/Factory Hands

Yummy Karma Foods (www.yummykarma.com) is a leading manufacturer of chilled and frozen prepared food solutions based in Riverstone, NSW.

We are looking for reliable, hard working and switched on individuals to join our Food Production team as Kitchen Hands.

Working days are Monday to Friday, with some weekend availability.

Some of your responsibilities in this role will be:

Assisting with production duties as necessary
Working on food processing machinery such as forming machine, tumbler, fryer etc
Cook food items using kettles and ovens
Measuring and preparing ingredients for production
Transferring food to and from blast chillers
Maintaining hygiene and food safety at all times
Organising and keeping cool rooms and dry stores neat and tidy
Washing down cool rooms, production rooms and equipment at the end of shift
Assisting with dishwashing and cleaning work as needed
Completing and maintaining food safety data records
We are looking for someone who has the following characteristics:

Reliable, hard working and dedicated
Willing to start at 7am and work 10-12 hours shifts
Switched on, intelligent, good attention to detail
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food production environment
Good knowledge of safe food handling practices
Knowledge of HACCP a plus
Clean, good personal hygiene
Hold appropriate working rights

Pay: $24.95 – $27.00 per hour
