Kids' Zone Assistant

Full job description
Eastern Greene Schools is seeking friendly and responsible individuals to serve as Kids’ Zone Assistants in our after-school program. This part-time role helps create a fun, safe, and structured environment for elementary students during after-school hours, 3:00 - 5:30pm.


Kids’ Zone Assistants work under the direction of the Kids’ Zone Director to supervise students, lead activities, and assist with daily routines. If you enjoy working with children and want a meaningful part-time job, this could be the perfect fit!


Qualifications
Prior experience working with children preferred but not required
Positive attitude, patience, and ability to follow directions
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable and punctual

Job Goals
Provide safe, attentive supervision of children in an after-school setting
Support the Director in leading games, crafts, and other age-appropriate activities
Promote a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment
Help maintain order and a positive atmosphere during program hours

Expectations
Supervise and engage students in structured and free play activities
Assist with student check-in/check-out and behavior management
Keep program areas clean and organized
Communicate professionally with students, staff, and families
Follow directions from the Kids’ Zone Director and school staff
Perform additional duties as assigned
