Job Description
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons tailored to young students for afterschool program or weekend program
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for children aged 5-12.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
Collaborate with colleagues to enrich curriculum and interactive instructional materials & class activities
Experience:
Previous experience as an instructor or teacher is required (at least two years).
Passion for working with children and an understanding of learning styles in North American contexts.
Strong subject matter expertise: Teaching Mandarin Chinese as second, foreign or heritage langauge.
Proficient in classroom management.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learners at different age and language level
Bonus: Familiarity with instructional technology, online learning platforms, or early childhood education.
Bilingual teaching experience in English and Mandarin is a strong asset.
