Aspen View Public Schools, with a division office located in the town of Athabasca, is a rural school division providing diverse and innovative programming to students in a number of communities. The division is unique in that it is surrounded by a multitude of lakes, golf courses and trails that appeal to an active, outdoor lifestyle while still being in close proximity to larger urban centers.

Many schools within Aspen View are geographically located to allow beginning teachers to meet the requirements of the Northern Student Teacher Bursary and/or Northern Alberta Development Council bursaries

Grassland School is located in the hamlet of Grassland, within Athabasca County. Grassland School is a community-focused K-+ school with a current population of approximately 60 students.

Grassland School is currently recruiting to a full-time teacher. The assignment will include a Grade K/1/2 combined class. This position will commence with the start of the 2026-2026 school year on August 25, 2026.
