COSU Creative Studios – Independent Art Toy Brand & Creative Studio
About the Role:
We’re looking for a part-time Junior Video Editor to help us bring a new interview-based video series to life. Think creator interviews blended with stylish, meme-worthy edits and cute animated toys. You’ll shape raw cuts into 3-minute, social-ready stories that blend humor, pacing, and polish. This will be project based and can anticipate up to 8-12 hours of commitment a week for the next 2-3 months.
What You’ll Do:
Refine rough assemblies (~5–10 mins) into tight, story-driven 3-min episodes
Add punch-ins, captions, GIFs, meme inserts & b-roll to match our playful brand
Handle basic sound design (EQ, music stems, SFX to -14 LUFS)
Work inside a pre-built Premiere or Resolve timeline—no exports or raw ingest
Follow clear briefs and apply feedback quickly
Must-Haves:
2+ years editing in Premiere (preferred) or DaVinci Resolve
Experience editing short-form content (especially interviews or social formats)
Basic After Effects skills (simple tracking or animation renders)
Portfolio or reel showing storytelling ability under 3 minutes
Responsive within 24 hours, reliable internet
Nice-to-Haves:
Love of animation, toys, or internet/ pop culture
Audio mixing know-how (Spotify-safe mixes)
EST time-zone availability for feedback (not required)
Located in Toronto for in-person collaboration opportunities, socials and more immersive experience (preferred not required)
