Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Interior Designer / Junior Architect based in Raurkela. The role involves assisting in space planning and interior layouts, preparing construction and detail drawings, and supporting design development for commercial projects. The team member will help select materials, finishes, and FF&E, contribute to design presentations, and coordinate with senior designers, architects, and site teams. Daily tasks include updating drawings and documentation, conducting site visits and measurements, collaborating with vendors, and ensuring design intent is clearly communicated for execution. The position offers hands-on experience across the project lifecycle, from concept design through to final installation.
Qualifications
• Strong skills in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to develop functional layouts for commercial environments.
• Foundational understanding of Architecture and building systems relevant to interior fit-out projects.
• Ability to prepare and interpret Construction Drawings, including plans, sections, and detail drawings.
• Knowledge of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), including material, finish, and product selection.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic MS Office tools.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
• Strong visual and design sensibility, attention to detail, and ability to follow established design standards.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional project teams and on active construction sites.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced project environment.
