Junior Hardware and Network Engineer
Location: PITAMPURA

Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Hardware and Network Engineer to support and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure. The role is ideal for a candidate with foundational experience in networking, server administration, and IT support who is eager to learn, grow, and work under senior technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities
Firewall & Security Support
Assist in administering and monitoring Sophos XG Firewall (XG series), including basic VPN configuration, IPSEC tunnels, security policies, VLANs, DHCP, and DNS settings.
Support antivirus server management and ensure client systems receive regular updates and policy enforcement.
Assist in implementing data backup procedures and basic IT security controls in line with company policies.
Cloud & Server Support
Assist in configuring and maintaining AWS cloud resources under supervision.
Support Active Directory administration, including user accounts, OU management, and Group Policy implementation.
Assist in maintaining Windows Server 2008/2016 environments (AD Server, Task Tracker Server).
Provide support for the Task Tracker (ticketing system) used for IT support operations.
Network Administration
Support the setup and maintenance of wired and wireless networks, including VLANs, DHCP scopes, and basic routing.
Monitor network performance and assist in troubleshooting connectivity and hardware issues.
Systems & IT Operations
Provide first-level end-user support for hardware, software, network, and internet-related issues.
Assist in maintaining IT asset inventory for hardware and software.
Help organize and update IT documentation, system records, and filing structures.
Web & Domain Support
Assist in managing BigRock hosting, cPanel accounts, and multiple domains, including websites and email configurations.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in IT support, networking, or system administration roles (internship or trainee experience acceptable).
Basic hands-on experience with firewalls (preferably Sophos XG series).
Foundational knowledge of Windows Server (2008/2016) and Active Directory.
Basic understanding of AWS cloud concepts.
Knowledge of networking fundamentals: VPN, IPSEC, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and routing.
Familiarity with ticketing systems (Task Tracker or similar).
Basic experience with domain management, cPanel, and web/email hosting.
Willingness to learn, strong troubleshooting attitude, and good analytical skills.
Good communication skills and ability to document technical tasks clearly
