As a Junior Exterior Designer at KIA India Design Center, you will have the opportunity to work on concept and production projects under the guidance of Senior Designers and the Styling Design Sector Leader. This role is ideal for individuals who are early in their career, passionate about sketching, and eager to learn how Kia's global design philosophy translates into vehicle design. You will be part of a team that views car design as a cultural statement and values creativity and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sketch and ideate designs for concept and production projects
- Collaborate with Senior Designers and contribute to the development of vehicle surfaces and proportions
- Learn and grow as a designer by receiving feedback and incorporating it into your work
- Showcase hand, eye, and voice in your design portfolio to demonstrate your creative thinking
- Expand your curiosity beyond automotive design into other areas like fashion, music, film, and art
Qualifications Required:
- 0-3 years of experience in a design-related field
- Proficiency in sketching and a strong understanding of design principles
- Ability to think creatively and push past the initial ideas
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the design philosophy of Kia Motors
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
