Epic Roofing & Exteriors Commercial Ltd. is looking for a junior quantity surveyor/junior estimator to join our expanding team.

We provide full project management and delivery of all exterior elements for new, restoration and maintenance projects including replacements, leak repairs, and new installations. You will have the opportunity to work closely with owners, property managers, engineers, and general contractors.

About The Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will support and lead a variety of project pursuits. As an integral member of the team, we are looking for someone who is organized and detail oriented, and able to work with both the sales team and our customers to provide a top tier customer experience.
As an QS/Estimator at Epic Commercial, you will
Set up projects in our CRM and estimating system
Review project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work
Dissemination of tender packages and assist in the production of a competitive quote
Complete Take offs of materials
Mark up drawings and blueprints
Participate in bid presentations and negotiations with customers
Assist in the development of project schedules and budgets
Request pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
Complete hand overs to the production team
Email clients and suppliers as required to facilitate production and design
Other miscellaneous office tasks as required
Qualifications/Experience
Construction estimating: 1-2 year (preferred but not mandatory)
Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Highly organized with exceptional time management skills
High attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience in the construction industry is an asset
Knowledge of drafting/drawing using AutoCAD and/or Sketchup is an asset

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
Experience:
Construction Industry: 1 year (preferred)
AutoCAD or Sketchup: 1 year (required)
