We’re on the lookout for a curious and proactive Junior Data Analytics & Reporting Assistant to join our team in a casual capacity. This is a hands-on, support-focused role — perfect for a student, recent graduate, or career switcher looking to gain commercial experience while learning on the job.

You’ll help deliver data insights and reporting to our amazing retail customers and get exposure to the inner workings of a fast-growing Australian tech company.

Essential duties may include:

In your first 30 days and beyond:

Learn Lexer’s services, platform, and processes
Shadow team members across product, marketing, sales, solutions, and customer success
Join daily team stand-ups to understand real-time client work
Get trained in insights analysis and reporting
By 3 months:

Produce monthly and quarterly insights reports for clients
Maintain automated processes that support data analysis
By 6–9 months:

Collaborate with Success Managers to develop custom insights
Assist senior analysts with projects
Improve automation processes for speed and accuracy
Beyond 12 months:

Independently generate proactive insights for customers
Contribute to and optimise our automated reporting systems
Essential skills and experience needed:

✓ Degree: Not necessary but nice to have: Bachelor degree in a related field

✓ Experience: No experience is necessary, however a demonstration of having data analytics or reporting skills is important

✓ Geography: Melbourne or Sydney, Australia

✓ Knowledge: Google Slides and Sheets, Data Science programming such as Python or R
