Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 6 months to 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field. This role involves assisting with various accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the senior accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Transaction Processing: Process and reconcile invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
• General Ledger: Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
• Documentation: Organize and file financial documents, such as receipts, invoices, and bank statements.
• Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Communication: Liaise with other departments and vendors to resolve accounting issues and discrepancies.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 6 months to 1 year of experience in accounting or a similar role. Experience with accounting software is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
