We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Accountant to join our construction/real estate firm. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for supporting the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting in the day-to-day accounting operations.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Record and reconcile transactions in the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances.
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Assist with the preparation of tax filings and compliance requirements.
Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
Communicate and collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or real estate industry.
Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
