Position Description:

We are seeking a Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter B to join our growing team in Calgary, AB. The ideal candidate will have a background in the service of gas fired heating appliances and a willingness to learn the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade. This is a valuable opportunity for the right candidate to earn a third trade ticket if desired.

Responsibilities:

· Install, inspect, and maintain various refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including split systems, rooftop units, chillers, and ventilation systems.

· Diagnose and repair malfunctions or defects in equipment, components, or systems using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.

· Perform routine maintenance tasks in accordance with apex Refrigeration policies and procedures.

· Take the lead/be available for consultation on job scopes related to Plumbing

· Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute installation or repair projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

· Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.

· Use CRM software to document repair information, equipment information, complete safety documentation, and log time for payroll.

· Receive and execute instructions from job leads and supervisors.

· Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, addressing concerns, and explaining technical information in a clear manner.

· Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and guidelines.

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

· Drive and maintain a service vehicle.

Position Requirements:

· Red Seal Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter B

· Class 5 Driver’s License with acceptable abstract (must be licensed in Canada for a minimum of three years)

· Clean Criminal Record Check

· Possess expert-level knowledge of Alberta and National Plumbing Code

· Previous experience in the service and installation of gas fired heating equipment is considered a major asset

· Previous experience in the service of hydronic systems is considered a major asset

· Hold safety certifications (TDG, Fall Protection, etc.) or willing to obtain

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Ability to perform the physical tasks of the position, including but not limited to lifting objects, climbing ladders, working in restricted spaces, and working at heights

· Ability to operate a service vehicle legally and safely

· Effective time management and organizational skills

· Effective communication skills in English, verbal and written

· Ability to participate in a on-call rotation and respond to service calls after hours, on weekends, and holidays.

Compensation is negotiable based on relevant experience and qualifications.
