Job Description
Role Description: The Jockey is a full-time, on-site role based in Montreal, QC, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of vehicles within the dealership and leasing operations. Day-to-day tasks include driving vehicles to and from the lot, service areas, and customer pickup points, as well as organizing parking and maintaining orderly vehicle placement. The role also involves cleaning vehicles—washing exteriors, vacuuming and wiping down interiors, and ensuring cars are presentable for customer delivery and showroom display. In addition, the Jockey helps keep the showroom clean and orderly, including tidying display areas, wiping down surfaces, removing debris, and maintaining a polished, welcoming environment for customers. The role involves performing basic visual inspections, reporting any damage or mechanical concerns, and supporting showroom operations as needed. The Jockey also interacts with customers and colleagues, providing courteous assistance and clear communication. This position requires consistent adherence to safety procedures and coordination with the sales, service, and logistics teams.
Qualifications:
Vehicle operation and licensing: CDL Class A or equivalent heavy vehicle driving experience, with a minimum of 5 years of driving.
Customer-facing skills: Strong Customer Service capabilities, with professionalism, patience, and a focus on delivering a positive experience to clients and visitors.
Interpersonal and communication skills: Effective Communication skills in both French and English to coordinate with team members, follow instructions, and accurately relay information about vehicles and operations.
Additional qualifications: Valid driver’s license with clean driving record, ability to work on-site in various weather conditions, attention to detail, reliability, and basic knowledge of automotive brands or features. Experience in an automotive, logistics, or dealership environment is an asset.
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
