Payroll/Human Resources Generalist
Seiko Watch of America is a wholly owned subsidiary of Seiko Group Corporation, which was established in 1881. As one of the few true "manufacturers" that design, develop and produce all components of watches, including the hairspring of its mechanical movements, the company offers a series of collections available worldwide that incorporate traditional Japanese design combined with the very best of watchmaking technology in the Seiko, Grand Seiko and Credor brands.
Under the direction of the VP of HR, manage a wide variety of Human Resource Generalist duties including multi-state payroll, and policies to support onboarding, time & attendance and HRIS system. The ideal candidate should be competent in handling various human resources responsibilities, including administrative tasks, and have sufficient professional experience along with strong communication abilities.
Responsibilities
Assist the VP of HR with daily responsibilities
Process end to end multi state biweekly payroll in ADP
Perform payroll preparation by reviewing relevant data, like absences, and timesheets
Prepare reports, using ADPWorkForceNow, as needed
Maintain record of hours worked for part-time and variable hour employees
Provide orientations for new employees and explain company policies
Organize employee performance reviews and various administrative tasks
Organize, update and maintain job descriptions
Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining records and databases
Perform other administrative tasks and duties as needed to support the team
Process and maintain incoming invoices and bills accurately and in a timely manner
Assist with special projects and other tasks assigned by management
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field
2+ years of Human Resource experience including strong HRIS experience
Muli-state payroll experience, ADP preferably, must include salaried and hourly employees
Candidate should be detail oriented and have exceptional multi-tasking, organization, prioritization, and planning skills.
Ability to hold confidential and sensitive information with the utmost integrity
