Cestaro Architecture and Design (JCA) is a boutique architecture and design studio in Wyckoff, NJ, serving discerning homeowners and premier builders throughout Bergen County and greater New Jersey. We specialize in high-end residential projects defined by timeless design, refined detailing and modern livability.
At JCA, every project is fully customized and we collaborate closely with clients and industry professionals from concept through construction. Our boutique approach ensures personalized attention, meticulous detail, and a hands-on design process.
Our team values creativity, precision, collaboration and technical excellence in every project. As we continue to grow, we are looking to add a talented Architect who is eager to lead design development, produce high-quality construction documents, coordinate project workflows and contribute meaningfully to our innovative design process.
Role Overview
We are a seeking full-time detail-oriented Architectural Drafter with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience to support the production of construction documents and drawing sets across multiple projects.The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically proficient and comfortable working in a fast-paced, small team environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare detailed architectural drawings and construction documents using SketchUp and/or AutoCAD
Assist in the development and coordination of drawing sets from schematic design through construction
Work closely with project managers and designers to implement design changes
Perform redline revisions accurately and efficiently
Assist with field measurements and existing conditions documentation
Support permit submissions and municipal filing requirements
Maintain organized and up-to-date project files
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Drafting, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of professional drafting experience in an architectural setting
Proficiency in SketchUp and/or AutoCAD
Strong understanding of construction drawings and detailing
Familiarity with building codes and residential construction standards
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Additional Preferred Skills
Experience with residential architecture
Familiarity with rendering software
Knowledge of New Jersey zoning and permitting processes
Experience with project management software (e.g., Monograph)
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
