Job Description
We are JAPAN FOODS TRADING, a Japanese food import and wholesale company with over 40 years of history in Victoria. We are currently seeking a Fish cutter / Fish filleter for our central kitchen, located at our warehouse.
Position:
Fish cutter / Fish filleter (Full-time / Part-time / Casual)
Working Hours:
7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
(Available 2–3 days a week, Monday to Friday)
Job Description:
Main duties include filleting and preparing fish
General kitchen duties as required
Requirements:
Able to fillet fish and prepare sashimi or sushi-grade cuts (Experience is required)
Good knife skills and ability to maintain knives properly
Able to work cooperatively with team members
Understand and follow food safety and hygiene standards
Flexible working schedule of about 2-3 days per week between Monday to Friday
English proficiency – Able to communicate effectively in daily conversations and during work
Hardworking and diligent
Must have full working rights in Australia (citizenship, permanent residency, student, or working holiday visa, etc.)
MUST be able to work for at least a year
Must be able to commute to Rowville, located about 1 hour by public transport or 30-40 minutes by car from Melbourne CBD
