Job Description
Role: Java Developer with recent experience in Python & Financial Services
Location: NYC, NY (Hybrid & need locals)
NO EMPLOYERS
We need: Senior (12+ years) Java Developers with recent extensive experience working with Python and large Data sets. You are responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining critical data pipelines and architectures across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. You will apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle. Candidates need to have recent experience working in Capital Markets, Financial services or very Large Banks
Job Responsibilities
· Supports review of controls to ensure sufficient protection of enterprise data
· Advises and makes custom configuration changes in one to two tools to generate a product at the business or customer request
· Updates logical or physical data models based on new use cases
· Innovate new ways of managing, transforming and validating data
· Apply quality assurance best practices to all work products
· Frequently uses SQL and understands NoSQL databases and their niche in the marketplace
· Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Formal training or certification on data engineering disciplines and 3+ years applied experience
Experience across the data lifecycle
Full stack development with Angular and Java or python
Advanced at SQL (e.g., joins and aggregations)
Working understanding of NoSQL database platforms and writing efficient SQL's
Knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Solid experience in Big Data technologies; (Spark, Impala, Hive, Redshift, Kafka, etc.)
Skilled in Java and Python development - MUST
Significant experience with statistical data analysis and ability to determine appropriate tools and data patterns to perform analysis
Experience customizing changes in a tool to generate product
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
Experience with data analytics/data management processes on AWS
Financial Services and Commercial and Investment Banking experience
Familiarity with DynamoDB and/or Cassandra
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $100,460.16 - $140,000.00 per year
