Backend Software Engineer Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic development team.

We have developed a revolutionary job/gig platform that connects job seekers and employers seamlessly. Currently, we are working on an advanced payroll management system. Our team values innovation, teamwork, and a passion for technology.
Job Description:
This role presents a chance to contribute to a groundbreaking product while working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Work closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimise and refine existing systems for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Design and implement database schemas, query optimisation, and data migrations using MySQL.
• Utilise Docker for application containerisation and deployment.
• Work with various AWS services such as EC2, RDS, Parameter store, Load Balancers etc.
• Participate in DevOps to ensure seamless and efficient deployment processes.
• Engage in regular code reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain code quality and consistency.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve our development processes.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong expertise with Spring Boot and experience in building RESTful APIs.
• Substantial experience with MySQL databases, including schema design, optimisation, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency with Docker for containerisation and deployment.
• Firm understanding of version control systems, especially Git.
• Comfortable with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards challenges.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a small team.
Bonus Skills:
• Experience with AWS cloud platform.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, Angular).
