Job responsibilities -
- Leverage latest tools and techniques to design, develop and implement Java-based applications
- Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to determine application objectives, features, and functionality
- Analyze the existing systems to maintain the availability, accessibility, security, and overall performance
- Identify performance and efficiency gaps and suggest opportunities for architecture improvement
- Accurately document the development process, architecture, and standard components for future reference
- Troubleshoot by analyzing the issues, finding the root cause, and resolving them
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and technology advancements
Job requirements -
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience working as a Java developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Strong understanding of OOP concepts, algorithms, and software design
- Good understanding of JVM, JSP, servlets, multithreading, synchronization, memory management, etc.
- Solid knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery
- Skilled at SQL, relational databases, and ORM technologies (Hibernate, JPA2)
- Fluency in English for effective communication
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a daily 4 hour overlap with US time zones
