IT Trainer
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Training Delivery: Conduct theory and practical training sessions in IT & Computer Applications as per the DDU-GKY curriculum and Qualification Pack (QP/NOS) standards.
• Curriculum Execution: Implement daily lesson plans, module-wise teaching frameworks, and practical lab exercises for topics including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet/Digital Literacy, Basic Hardware & Networking, and Troubleshooting.
• Assessment & Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments, mock tests, and practical evaluations to track student progress and ensure readiness for final assessments by Sector Skill Councils (SSC).
• Lab Management: Oversee the IT lab setup, maintain hardware/software infrastructure, manage IT assets, and ensure lab rules and decorum are strictly followed.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of batch attendance, daily training logs, marksheets, candidate progress reports, and compliance documentation required for DDU-GKY audits.
• Soft Skills & Employability Integration: Collaborate with soft skills and English trainers to incorporate workplace digital etiquette and practical job readiness into the IT curriculum.
• Placement Support: Assist the placement team by evaluating candidate readiness, conducting mock technical interviews, and preparing candidates for job drives and interviews.
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, BCA, B.Tech (CS/IT), or a relevant Diploma in Computer Applications / DOEACC 'A' Level or equivalent.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience as an IT Trainer, Computer Teacher, or Technical Instructor (Experience in government-sponsored skill development projects like DDU-GKY, PMKVY, or NULM is strongly preferred).
• Certification: NCVET/SSC Trainer Certification (e.g., IT-ITeS Sector Skill Council) is a strong plus.
Skills & Competencies
• Strong mastery of core IT concepts, MS Office Suite, Internet technologies, and basic IT hardware/troubleshooting.
• Excellent presentation, classroom management, and communication skills in [Insert Local Language] and English/Hindi.
• Patience and ability to mentor and train candidates coming from rural and underprivileged backgrounds.
• Familiarity with DDU-GKY SOPs, documentation standards, and portal reporting is highly desirable.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
