Job Description

The Role
As an IT Support Officer, you will provide first- and second-line technical support across a predominantly Microsoft Windows environment. You will play a key role in ensuring staff and users receive timely and effective assistance with a wide range of IT issues.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver first- and second-line IT support to end users.
Provide support for hardware, software, audio-visual equipment, printers, and user accounts.
Manage and resolve incidents and standard service requests while maintaining high levels of customer service.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of departmental standards for end-user computing.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex software and system issues.
Liaise with external suppliers and support engineers to resolve technical problems.
Work closely with colleagues to support teaching technologies and audio-visual systems.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies relating to data security, data protection, and acceptable IT usage.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience working within an IT Support team in a corporate, educational, or professional environment.
Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues relating to Windows operating systems, hardware, and software.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop environments.
A genuine interest in technology and a commitment to continuous professional development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
