Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As IT HR Senior Developer, you will be responsible for design, development, and technical support of BCG's global HR applications. You will work with a team of internal and external developers, as well as a cross-functional team consisting of Project Managers, Business Analysts, and others to provide high quality applications which respond to and meet the business needs of the entire BCG organization. You will be expected to participate in hands-on development activities as well as providing technical guidance and oversight of development activities to successfully execute projects. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products are essential
YOU'RE GOOD AT
• Participate in Agile development including requirement grooming and design.
• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements
• Designing & developing responsive & adaptive applications using frameworks like Net Core/Angular.
• Having knowledge of Dev-Sec-Ops & Dev-Ops.
• Troubleshoot reported production tickets and provide timely analysis and resolution
• Stay abreast of development tools, trends and practices, and act as an advocate and promoter for items that should be considered for future initiatives
• Keeping Technical Debt to the bare minimum.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with product owners/ business analysts and understand requirements carefully and execute.
• Working on guidance provided by external developers on performing code reviews to ensure quality and adherence.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
Education
• College degree and 5-7 years of experience in the development of business applications in a commercial IT setting, or in consulting
Experience/Knowledge
• Must understand practices and methodologies like OOPS, Design patterns and principals, Compositions and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Must have experience with Net Core and C#.
• Must have experience with SQL in any relational DB technologies like Oracle, MS SQL
• Strong experience with developing & maintaining REST Web APIs/ Microservices.
• Strong experience with LINQ.
• Strong Experience with JavaScript.
• Strong experience with code versioning tools like GitHub/TFS.
• Excellent analytical/troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with cloud-native platform development, including open-source projects such as Kubernetes, Docker a plus.
• Understanding of cross-browser/cross-platform web app development.
• Experience of working with Cloud native non-relational DBs like Snowflake etc. is a plus
• Good to have Knowledge of HTML 5, CSS, Frameworks/library like – jQuery or React or Angular
• Good to have Knowledge of Entity Framework.
• Good to have Knowledge of technologies like NodeJS.
