The IT Governance Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining comprehensive governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure the effective management and integrity of the organization’s IT assets. This role involves overseeing access controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing contracts related to governance. Additionally, the IT Governance Specialist handles vendor management to ensure third-party compliance with company policies, standards, and regulations.
As an IT Governance Specialist, you will -
• Governance Frameworks: Develop and implement robust governance frameworks and policies.
• Access Control & Compliance: Ensure strict access control and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Contract Management: Oversee contract management related to governance.
• Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships to ensure third-party compliance with governance standards.
• Collaboration & Best Practices: Collaborate with various departments to ensure adherence to governance best practices.
• Audits & Risk Mitigation: Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
.An ideal candidate should have an advanced degree in Computer or Information Science or related field with 2 to 5 years of relevant work experience and below abilities -
• Proven experience in governance, access management, contract management, and vendor management.
• Analytical Skills - Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team Collaboration - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Communication Skills - Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Frameworks - Experience with frameworks such as NIST, CIS18 and ISO27001.
The IT Governance Specialist is central to data distribution and ensures data is used responsibly and securely across the organization. By conducting regular audits and ensuring good documentation, the IT Governance Specialist mitigates potential risks and ensures the integrity of the organization's IT assets.
