Job Summary:
We are seeking a technically proficient and solution-oriented IT Engineer to manage the complete IT infrastructure of Pravin Electricals, covering both the corporate office and project sites. The role includes managing hardware, networking, system software, and all IT-enabled office equipment such as biometric devices, printers, and scanners. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating with vendors for equipment installation, repair, and software support. Travel to project sites is required as part of the role to ensure uninterrupted IT services.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain LAN/WAN, internet connectivity, and network devices at office and project sites.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and peripherals, including desktops, laptops, routers, switches, printers, scanners, and biometric devices.
Ensure smooth functioning and troubleshooting of equipment-related software (printer drivers, biometric attendance systems, CCTV monitoring software, etc.).
Provide first-level technical support and resolve issues related to systems, software, and connected devices.
Coordinate vendor liaison for purchase, maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of all IT and electronic office equipment.
Oversee software installations and updates, ensure valid licensing, and support applications in use by various departments.
Set up IT infrastructure for new project sites and provide on-site support as required.
Monitor system health and implement regular backups, antivirus updates, and data protection practices.
Maintain inventory records of hardware, software licenses, and IT consumables.
Maintain documentation of support issues and prepare regular reports on IT operations, asset status, and vendor service history.
Qualifications Skills:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in IT support and system administration preferred.
Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, networking fundamentals, and peripheral devices.
Familiarity with equipment-specific software (e.g., biometric attendance, printer utilities, CCTV apps).
Experience coordinating with external service providers and vendors.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability and willingness to travel to project sites for support, installations, and maintenance.
Good organizational skills and attention to documentation and process compliance.
Work Environment:
Primarily based at the corporate office in Mumbai, with regular travel to construction/project sites as needed.
May occasionally require off-hours support during emergencies or major installations.
