Job description
This high-level leadership role oversees all aspects of the investment banking division, encompassing client relationships, transaction execution and profitability. The individual in this position will lead a team of investment bankers, focus on strategic initiatives, business development, and ensure the firm's success in the investment banking space.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Management
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction is crucial in this role.
Transaction Execution
Overseeing the execution of mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and other investment banking transactions, ensuring successful deal closures is a key responsibility.
Business Development
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, expanding the bank's client base, and generating revenue through identifying market opportunities is vital.
Strategic Planning
Developing and implementing strategic plans for the investment banking division, aligning with the bank's overall objectives is essential.
Team Leadership
Motivating and managing a team of investment bankers, providing guidance, and ensuring their professional development is critical.
Profitability
Monitoring and ensuring the profitability of the investment banking division, including revenue generation and expense management is a key aspect of this role.
Industry Expertise
Staying abreast of market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes relevant to investment banking is necessary.
Risk Management
Implementing and monitoring risk management policies and procedures within the investment banking division is vital.
The ideal candidate should possess a proven track record of success in a senior investment banking role, with a minimum of 15+ years relevant experience. They should have excellent understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks in today's environment. Strong quantitative and analytical skills are also required.
Able to lead and motivate a team, manage complex projects, and make sound strategic decisions, strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients are necessary. Very strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills are also required. Ability to analyze complex financial situations, identify opportunities, and solve problems is essential. A deep understanding of the investment banking industry, including regulations and best practices, is necessary.

We are seeking an experienced Fund Accounting Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end processes related to securities and portfolio, including fund valuation for client segments like Mutual Funds, Alternative Investment Funds, Portfolio Managers, etc.
The role involves working with a top-notch platform in the fund accounting space, which offers flexibility to parameterize the system according to local needs and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Computation and reconciliation of Net Asset Value (NAV), checking income accruals, NAV movement, etc.
• Reviewing Bank and Holding reconciliations and resolving breaks if any
• Processing and verification of all trades for the day processed in the system
• Valuation and pricing of securities
• Coordination with clients for trades and coordination with Registrars for Unit Capital files
• Maintenance of email instructions for trades and other instructions, including Custody instructions
• Computation of Income equalisation and distributable surplus
• Dissemination of NAV to the Press, Registrar, etc.
• Trial Balance Scrutiny, Audit co-ordination and finalization of accounts
Requirements:
• 3-4 years of experience in Mutual Fund Accounting and operations
• Understanding of capital, financial, and derivative markets
• Knowledge of various valuation tools and methodology
• Good communication and presentation skills
