International Education Consultant
Job Description
Pay rate: $35.00 – $36.00 per hour plus commission upon achievement of KPIs
Working hours: 30–40 hours per week
Working location: Auckland, New Zealand
We are seeking a motivated and target-driven International Education Consultant to join our education recruitment team. This role is primarily responsible for promoting and selling educational products and services and converting prospective student enquiries into successful enrolments for partner education providers.
This is a performance-based sales role within the education sector, focused on achieving enrolment targets through structured consultation, lead conversion, and customer relationship management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Respond to enquiries from prospective students via phone, email, online platforms, and face-to-face consultations.
Promote education programs, courses, and partner institutions to prospective students and identify suitable study pathways based on their needs.
Identify and develop new sales opportunities by generating and maintaining databases of prospective students through marketing campaigns, referrals, education fairs, and other lead generation activities.
Assess students' educational goals and recommend suitable courses, institutions, and enrolment options.
Provide detailed information regarding study programs, tuition fees, entry requirements, application procedures, and available promotional offers.
Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to enrolment confirmation, including negotiating suitable study and payment options where applicable.
Follow up with prospective students to maximize conversion rates, maintain client relationships, and resolve any issues arising during the enrolment process.
Liaise with education providers to process applications, obtain offers, and coordinate enrolment-related services.
Maintain accurate CRM records, prepare sales reports, track conversion performance, and report sales outcomes to management.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and changing student preferences, and provide feedback to management to support business development and sales strategies.
Participate in education fairs, recruitment events, marketing campaigns, and other business development activities to generate new leads and expand the client base.
Key Requirements
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in international education recruitment, sales, or student conversion-based roles
Relevant qualifications are preferable but not a must
Strong experience in lead conversion, client engagement, or sales-driven environments
Proven ability to achieve targets and work with KPIs in a performance-based role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple leads and work effectively under pressure
