Job Description: MAC Engineering has a full time career opportunity for an intermediate SCADA programmer/developer.
The SCADA programmer/developer is required to work within a multi-discipline team to design efficient and reliable SCADA systems. The successful candidate will coordinate his/her activities to maintain project schedules and ensure successful project completion.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification: Engineering Degree, Computer Science Degree or Diploma, Automation/Instrumentation Technology Diploma, or equivalent.
Exposure to the Oil & Gas Industry.
Previous experience in control system design preferred.
Experience and knowledge working with Microsoft Office, SQL and VBScript.
4+ years experience with SCADA platforms such as Ignition, Wonderware, or Cygnet.
Familiarity with common SCADA protocols such as Modbus, OPC, Fieldbus, AB/IP, MQTT.
Excellent trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.
The ability to work both independently and as a contributing member of a team.
Self-starter, motivated and able to meet project deadlines.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
SCADA/HMI configuration
Design, develop, test, and maintain various SCADA displays and databases
Assist in development of proposals and estimates
Performing site troubleshooting and testing
Writing technical standards and procedural documents
