The role: Intermediate Taxation Accountant
We are on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Taxation Accountant to join our dedicated team. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, you will play a vital role in managing the compliance needs of a diverse portfolio of International clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and lodge income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
Handle Business Activity Statements (BAS), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), and payroll tax returns.
Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
Stay up to date with evolving tax laws and regulations.
Conduct research to address client-specific tax queries and complex tax issues.
Assist in preparing financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
Reconcile tax balances and support tax provisions for financial reporting.
Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Support and mentor junior accountants with technical tax queries.
What We’re Looking For:
3-4 years of taxation accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of taxation law, financial reporting standards, and compliance management.
Advanced Excel skills, including experience with Pivot Tables and VLookups.
Experience using Xero is highly desirable.
Relevant Accounting qualifications.
Commencement of CA professional studies (ideal)
