Job Description – Manager, IT Procurement

Experience: 7–10 Years

Location: Chennai / India

Role Summary

Lead end-to-end procurement for IT Hardware, Software, Networking and related services with strong OEM negotiation, strategic sourcing, and stakeholder management expertise.

Key Responsibilities
• End-to-end IT procurement lifecycle management
• Global sourcing and supplier management
• OEM negotiations (Example: Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, etc.)/ Direct Negotiations with OEMs.
• Handling RFQ/RFP/RFI and competitive bidding
• Cost optimization and commercial negotiations
• Vendor onboarding, performance management, and governance
• Contract review and compliance adherence
• Stakeholder management across business and technology teams
• Procurement reporting and MIS management

Required Skills
• 7–10 years of IT procurement experience
• Strong OEM negotiation and commercial skills
• Experience in bidding (RFP/RFQ)
• Vendor management expertise
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Strong Excel and Ariba knowledge
• Commercial and contractual understanding
• Good knowledge of IT hardware, software, networking, cloud, and services procurement

Preferred Profile
• Experience in reputed organizations
• Stable career history (preferably 3+ years in each company)
• Global procurement exposure
• Experience handling high-value procurement projects and strategic sourcing initiatives
