Are you looking for a fast-paced and challenging position that will provide you with extremely valuable enterprise IT operations and management experience, extensive variety, and frequent exposure to managers and staff in the Information Technology Branch? The Employment Development Department (EDD) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join the Application Administration and Operations Support Group.
The Information Technology Manager I oversees enterprise application operations and production support functions through subordinate supervisors. This position is responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, security, and continuity of a broad portfolio of enterprise applications, including commercial, cloud-based, legacy, and client-server systems. The IT Manager I directs application operations activities such as incident and problem management, release and deployment coordination, system monitoring, disaster recovery planning, staff development, vendor and contract oversight, and compliance with Statewide and departmental IT policies, security requirements, and governance standards. As a member of the IT Branch Management Team, the incumbent collaborates with senior leadership, ensuring enterprise IT services support the Department's mission effectively and efficiently.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change as business needs arise. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office on their assigned in-office days. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.
