Responsibilities
The Information Governance Analyst is responsible for managing Information Governance initiatives to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies
This position involves understanding and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure the proper management and protection of information across the Firm
The Information Governance Risk and Compliance Analyst works on product related to Client Transfers, including the on-boarding and off-boarding of attorneys and clients
This role manages electronically stored information (ESI) by maintaining a thorough working and training knowledge of the technology systems used by the Information Governance Risk and Compliance Department
The Information Governance Analyst works under minimal supervision and relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
This position will report directly to the Information Governance Manager
Understand all aspects of the Firm’s Information Governance Policy and articulate relative obligations to Firm stakeholders by working directly with attorneys, paralegals, and various staff members
Resolve attorney and staff inquiries relating to Information Governance policies and procedures
Coordinate the proper identification, transfer, and collection of all responsive materials relating specifically to an attorney departure, lateral acquisition, legal hold, or client transfer
Transfer electronic records to and from the Firm’s Document Management System (iManage) and other related repositories
Enforce compliance to fulfill the Firm’s ethical and regulatory requirements to manage, implement, and secure sensitive or protected data
Provide input on the use of technology solutions such as workflows, integrations, and analytics
Ensure electronic data and metadata are imported accurately, classified and assigned to the corresponding client/matter workspaces
Ensure outbound (off-boarding) digital record transfers are accurately documented and classified into a repository for due diligence tracking (ServiceNow)
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with attorneys, both on-boarding and off-boarding, to aid in their transition to / from the Firm
Utilize FTP server technology (Titan File), security and encryption controls (7-zip), metadata structure (Prosperoware Milan), database reporting, and critical system dependencies
Establish client service relationships and collaboration with personnel from both Legal and Business Operations
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of best practices related to the use of technology and workflow processes
Develop and implement information governance compliance procedures, documentation, educational materials, and a portfolio of internal controls in accordance with industry best practices
Coordinate the implementation of appropriate security for information relating to workspaces / folders within Information Governance systems
Participates in other special projects as assigned

Target Hiring Range $58,000 - $87,000
