SUMMARY: Responsible for performing in a support function to the service and maintenance departments

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Wash and detail trucks and other vehicles, weekly, including company vehicles. Wax on a monthly basis.
Assist in the organization and cleaning of the shop area and exterior grounds.
Responsible for all ground and building maintenance, including but not limited to emptying trash, cleaning shop bathrooms, yard mowing, weeding and maintenance of the irrigation system.
Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness of the warehouse area.
Deliver and pick up supplies, parts and equipment as needed.
Safely drive emergency response vehicles (fire trucks and ambulances) both locally and long-distance.
Assist with Shipping and Receiving, when requested by management.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Valid Driver’s License required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to create standard correspondence. Ability to effectively and concisely present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees. Proficient verbal communication skills, in English, are required.

EDUCATION: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions in written and oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variances in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be flexible and able to work independently on a variety of assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments. Must have a clean driving record and a valid Florida driver’s license.
