Job Description
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Machinery Mechanic to join their maintenance team in Thane, Maharashtra, IN . This role is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of a wide variety of industrial machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, extensive knowledge of different types of industrial equipment, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and longevity of the manufacturing plant's machinery, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, assemble, and inspect new industrial machinery and equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance on all types of machinery, including lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments. Diagnose and repair mechanical failures, such as worn or damaged parts, faulty systems, or operational malfunctions. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand machine operations and repair procedures. Use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments, to perform repairs and adjustments. Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are performed safely and in compliance with company policies and industry standards. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status. Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations. Identify opportunities for improving machinery performance and reliability. Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in mechanical trades is highly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Machinery Mechanic or in a similar role. Proven experience working with a wide range of industrial machinery (e.g., lathes, mills, presses, conveyors, pumps). Strong understanding of mechanical principles, including power transmission, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various industrial environments. Knowledge of safety procedures in a manufacturing setting is essential.
