Job Description
Western Plains Correctional Centre is Victoria's newest maximum-security correctional facility, designed to house up to 1,248 people in custody. The centre features purpose-built modern amenities, including medical wards, a cultural centre, and vocational training facilities. It utilises cutting-edge technology to keep the facility secure, allowing staff to focus on supporting the rehabilitation of people in custody.
As the Diversity Officer, you will play a key role in shaping the future operations of the centre. You will work closely with the Offender Services team to deliver support services and ensure that all individuals are treated with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with the Offender Services team to deliver support services
• Develop and implement programs to promote inclusivity and respect
• Provide guidance to case managers on diversity-related issues
• Conduct research and analysis to inform policy and practice decisions
