Safer Lighting Inc. is a Brampton-based supplier of commercial and residential LED lighting and electrical products, backed by over 30 years of GTA electrical industry experience through our affiliated company, Safer Electric. We supply contractors, businesses, and property managers across Ontario with quality lighting solutions at competitive prices.
The Role
We are looking for a friendly, organized In-Store Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our Brampton showroom and office. You will be the first point of contact for contractors, businesses, and walk-in customers, greeting visitors, answering calls, and keeping our front desk running smoothly. This is a full-time, in-person role at our Brampton location, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week (40 hours/week).
What You Will Do
• Greet walk-in customers, contractors, and visitors warmly and professionally
• Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries, and take clear messages
• Assist customers with product questions and point them to the right products or team member
• Support light sales activity at the counter, including order taking and basic quotes
• Process transactions and help customers complete purchases
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and showroom area
• Handle general administrative tasks (filing, data entry, updating customer records)
• Receive and direct deliveries and coordinate with the warehouse team
• Support the sales and operations team with day-to-day tasks as needed
What We Are Looking For
• Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude
• Strong communication and phone skills
• Well-organized with attention to detail
• Comfortable handling transactions and using basic computer programs (email, spreadsheets, point-of-sale or CRM systems)
• Reliable, punctual, and able to multitask in a busy environment
• Customer service or front-desk experience is a strong asset
• Sales or retail experience is a strong asset
• Knowledge of the electrical, lighting, or building products industry is a strong asset
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
What We Offer
• $20.00/hour
• Full-time hours: 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday (40 hours/week)
