A leading law firm in the Pacific Northwest seeks an experienced and motivated Immigration Associate Attorney to join their dynamic legal team. This onsite position offers the opportunity to represent clients in complex immigration matters, particularly removal defense cases involving criminal charges or convictions. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience and a proven track record in immigration law.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in immigration court and with USCIS, managing a diverse caseload of immigration matters. Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver comprehensive legal services. Stay informed and maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration law. Advocate for clients in court, hearings, and negotiations with immigration authorities and prosecutors. Conduct legal research and draft legal documents such as petitions, motions, and briefs. Provide representation in removal defense, focusing on cases involving criminal charges or convictions.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in good standing with the state bar. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing immigration law. Proven experience representing clients in immigration courts and administrative proceedings. Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Ability to manage a high volume caseload. Strong track record of zealous advocacy and excellent oral advocacy skills. Willingness to travel as required.
