Strong Oracle Database Administration background
Hands on experience supporting applications in the Cloud, preferably AWS, if not, will take Azure
Linux skills
knowledge of Yugabyte and Aerospike distributed databases. (They will get taught this so is a good selling point to candidates)
The ideal candidate must have strong technical, organization, and communication skills
The candidate is required to perform on and off premise(Cloud) database administration activities for both centralized and distributed databases

Carry work mobile and provide 24X7 Support, On Call Schedule participation
Must document all work in ticketing system and manage tickets in their queue
Perform regular maintenance of centralized Oracle and distributed Yugabyte, Aerospike database including backups, restores, data pump, archiving, and review of logs for errors or potential problems
Database creation, upgrade and patching
Regularly review space capacity and perform tasks to manage space usage through archiving or increasing disk space
Responsible for database monitoring, troubleshooting
Participation in Disaster Recovery drills
